“Precious Faith” – Gospel Meeting – Begins This Sunday

The church of Christ in Matador invites you to come and hear Mike Crowley, Jr. of Midland, Texas, as he begins a six-part series entitled, Precious Faith. Taken from the pages of First and Second Peter, this series of lessons will be sure to both intrigue and challenge listeners. Following the 11:00 worship service, plan to stay for a potluck luncheon provided by the ladies of the congregation. Sunday’s activities will conclude with part three of the series at 6:00 pm. But, not to worry, Mike will speak again on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm followed by a complimentary supper each evening. Make your plans now to attend as many of these presentations as possible.

Questions about the creation are common among non-christians. Various theories have been put forth to contradict the Biblical narrative. Even Christians sometimes struggle with belief. What did the New Testament writers think? What can they teach us?

Valentine Banquet Delights Participants

A special evening was on the menu Thursday night, February 14, at the home of Phil & Carol Kerr. They hosted a Valentine dinner for members of the Matador church of Christ and other guests that will not soon be forgotten. Along with the help of Mike and Sara Fowler, the Kerr’s served steak, potatoes, salad, and rolls followed by an amazing heart-shaped chocolate strawberry cake made by Sara, for dessert. Everyone had a wonderful time and the food was so delicious!
